About 

He worked in Central Institute of psychiatry, Ranchi from 1979-2014, in different capacities as Medical officer, senior medical officer and retired as Deputy Medical Superintendent. He was heading the Headache clinic and sex clinic during his tenure. He was a convener in Forensic science, IPS. He was editor of Eastern Journal of Psychiatry for 4 years. He was Secretary of Indian Epilepsy Association for 6 years. He was President of IPS Jharkhand in 2013-14.

He has pursued MBBS from RIMS, Ranchi in 1977, MD in Dermatology in 1986 and DNB Psychiatry in 1988. He is practicing since last 44 years.

Research

He has more than 100 publications in international and national journals and more than 25 chapter in books. He wrote weekly columns for mental health awareness in prestigious local newspaper, which was later compiled as book “Uljhane” which was an instant success in the masses. Then a second edition of “UlJhane”

After retirement, he is practicing here in “Dr.Sayeed’s Beautiful Mind” as Consultant Psychiatrist at Bariatu Ranchi. He is well known for his treatments in psychiatric illness, epilepsy, headache, and sexual disorders.
